In 2005, Dr. Thomas Clark, Kentucky’s most famous historian, included the City of Augusta along with such places as the Cumberland Gap, shaker Village and Mammoth Cave as one of the 11 places that helped shape the state. We invite you for a visit to see why Dr. Clark chose Augusta as the only city to be included with such notable Kentucky landmarks.

Bracken County Adult Education is a program designed to offer Bracken County residents and non-residents working in the county the opportunity to further their education. We can help you prepare for a general education diploma (GED), help you with skills needed for job advancement WorkKeys certification, help with compass testing scores, teach you basic computer skills or help you improve your ability to read, write or do math. Also this will enable you to assist your children with homework for school. The program, funded by the state and federal government, is free and confidential.
We are seeking to raise awareness of the services offered by Bracken County Adult Education and to make them available at more convenient times and places.
Our offices are located at the Public Library in Brooksville, KY. The Brooksville office is open Monday, and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. -4:00p.m.• The Augusta office is located in the basement of River Community Nazarene Church open Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:30a.m. – 4:00p.m. and Thursday 8:30a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
